A group of the de Montford Brothers who fled their home in France at the beginning of the second world war were given the use of the empty Leagram Hall by Mr John Berkeley-Weld. They stayed for five or six years.
John Berkeley-Weld had the old Hall demolished, however he donated the ten heraldic windows to Stonyhurst School. His son Charles Weld-Blundell built the new Hall in 1965 and now his son, John, lives there today.
